The October 2017 firestorm damaged 10 Santa Rosa City park sites. Damage was sustained within Community Parks, Neighborhood Parks, Open Space and Landscape Areas. Total damage is estimated at $7-$14 Million. The City’s most severely damaged park is Coffey Neighborhood Park, which was destroyed. The amount of federal disaster funding that the City will receive to rebuild Coffey Neighborhood Park and repair damage in the City's other fire damaged parks remains unknown. Even with full FEMA and CAL OES reimbursement of approved damages, there is a significant, multi-million-dollar gap in funding needed to restore Santa Rosa's burned parks.

Donations to Help Rebuild - Santa Rosa Parks Foundation
The Santa Rosa Parks Foundation, a non-profit 501(c)3 organization, is working with Santa Rosa Recreation & Parks to fundraise and serve as the sole source for collecting community donations to help rebuild Santa Rosa’s fire damaged City parks.
