Pathway Upgrades at Galvin Park
Tennis anyone? The pathway upgrade project scheduled for Galvin Community Park will provide improved access to a wider range of individuals. The asphalt and concrete pathways around Galvin Park tennis courts will be replaced with new ADA compliant concrete pathways and ramps. Don’t worry, all park facilities will remain open during construction however, expect temporary detours leading to the tennis courts and a temporary reduction in parking spaces.
California Construction Group, Inc. is scheduled to begin construction early September and should be completed by the end of October. The project involves demolishing all asphalt surfaces from the parking lot leading to all tennis courts and replace the asphalt with concrete sidewalk. The new path will be extended south to meet the dog park access path. In addition to the pathways, crews will install 2 ADA accessible ramps at the east side of court 3 & 4 and install stairs and landings on the west side of court 5 & 6.
