Constructed with the assistance of the Santa Rosa Housing Authority and the City of Santa Rosa, 113 new units of affordable housing will be completed in Santa Rosa by the end of 2018, the result of three new developments.

Benton Veterans Village is a seven-unit project that will provide safe and secure housing to six chronically homeless low- and very low-income veterans (one unit is reserved for the property manager). Constructed by Community Housing Sonoma County with the assistance of the Santa Rosa Housing Authority and the City of Santa Rosa, the project was completed in October. Leasing activities were targeted to homeless veterans.

Crossings on Aston, a 27-unit affordable housing development designed as 14 duplexes is also nearing completion, which is expected by the end of November. Financed by the Housing Authority and other sources, Crossings on Aston will serve families earning between 30% and 60% of Area Median Income in 24 3-bedroom units and 3 1-bedroom units. One unit will serve as a community room. The project sponsors are Urban Housing Communities and Central Valley Coalition for Affordable Housing.

Crossroads, a 79-unit affordable housing development, was completed and fully occupied in July 2018. This City-County cooperative project was financed by the Housing Authority, County of Sonoma, and other sources. It provides homes for families earning between 30% and 60% of Area Median Income, including 16 units for households experiencing homelessness. Burbank Housing Development Corporation is the project sponsor.

Overseen by the Santa Rosa Housing Authority, the Santa Rosa Housing Trust partners with many private sector organizations to develop affordable housing projects. Typically restricted to very low- and low-income households, these projects are scattered throughout Santa Rosa. The Trust has sponsored over 3,700 units in Santa Rosa, representing over $116 million invested in affordable housing in Santa Rosa.
