On January 29, 2019 the Santa Rosa City Council approved the commuter parking permit. This permit is intended for those who drive downtown and then transfer onto some form of public transportation: SMART, Golden Gate Transit, Sonoma County Transit, or CityBus. The permit allows a commuter to park in Garage 12 for $31 per month, a 50% discount.

Current commuters can demonstrate transit usage by printing out or capturing a screen shot of your personal "transaction history" from your My Clipper account online, showing at least $25 per month in transit use (www.clippercard.com). Non Clipper Card users, taking part in the Santa Rosa Free Ride Trip Reduction Incentive Program (www.santarosafreeride.org), and are purchasing the reduced price CityBus or Sonoma County Transit month pass, can qualify by noting your participation on the application.

This permit will be good for use in Garage 12 at 555 First Street, adjacent to the Transit Mall and a short bus ride or walk to the Santa Rosa Downtown SMART station.
