Participating non-profits across Sonoma County have teamed up to expand and create winter shelters for people experiencing homelessness, all of which are now open as of December 1. This effort helps unsheltered persons find relief from cold and wet weather. Up to a total of 184 winter shelter beds will be provided on a first-come, first-served basis through March, and some locations may have additional offerings to facilitate entry into year-round shelters and programs that enable permanent housing solutions.
