The Joe Rodota Trail is a Sonoma County Regional Park space. To address the growing homeless encampment along the Trail – at the direction of the Sonoma County Board of Supervisors – the County of Sonoma activated its Emergency Operation Center on December 18th as a Joint Operations Center (JOC) involving participation from multiple County departments and non-profit service providers. Visit the County’s website for more information on their operation at sonomacounty.ca.gov.
A Special Meeting of the Board of Supervisors is scheduled for Monday, December 23 at 9:00am where the Board will consider a proposed County plan to resolve the situation on the JRT. Residents can watch the December 23 meeting live at: sonoma-county.legistar.com/Calendar.aspx. A recording of the meeting will be available to watch beginning December 24, 2019 for those unavailable to watch live and can be accessed through the same link.
