Resilient City Permit Center Moving Locations

The City of Santa Rosa’s Resilient City Permit Center moves to Room 5 at the City Hall complex (100 Santa Rosa Avenue) starting January 27, 2020.

With the room change, the Permit Center will operate at City Hall as it has since its inception in November 2017 but will now be located where other ongoing City permit services are also provided. No impact is anticipated to the center’s regular operating hours, and residents and contractors can look for signs around the complex to direct them to the new location.

“This room change is one step toward City Hall and City staff operating as they had pre-fire,” said Assistant City Manager David Guhin. “Fire survivors who are just starting or are in the process of rebuilding their homes will continue to receive priority, expedited service. However, the majority of homeowners in fire-impacted areas have initiated construction or moved into their rebuilt homes, and so it’s time to start this transition.”

The Resilient City Permit Center provides expedited assistance for the process of design, permitting and review of structures being rebuilt in six identified neighborhoods impacted by the 2017 wildfires within the Santa Rosa city limits. To date, 2,322 residential unit applications have been submitted in these Fire Resilient Zoning Areas, with 1,113 under construction and 939 completed.
