Today, CA Governor Gavin Newsom announced that counties throughout the State may request approval for specific business activities, if they meet the strict criteria for case metrics, preparedness, and response. This provides an opportunity to update allowances for dine-in restaurants and shopping centers. To learn more about the State’s Resilience Roadmap and statewide guidance, visit covid19.ca.gov
Santa Rosa is hopeful for this opportunity, as the County has indicated that they are taking cautious steps towards reopening under the State’s guidance. Reopening the economy is important for Sonoma County and Santa Rosa continues to collaborate with the County as they develop a plan for safely reopening the region.
For all of Sonoma County, including Santa Rosa, the latest update to the Shelter in Place Health Order, effective May 15, remains in place. It is anticipated that the County may provide an update in the next few days.
