[ARCHIVED] A Reminder from the Police Chief: Follow Health Orders

April 17 of ENG_PoliceChief_YouTubeThumb

In a new video message, Santa Rosa Police Chief Rainer Navarro acknowledges the good work of many in the community who continue to follow the Sonoma County Health Officer Orders. He explains the Police Department’s approach the last few weeks has been only to educate residents and businesses about the Sonoma County Health Orders, but has within the last week, had to progress to some level of enforcement due to police officers continuing to observe some community members disregarding the Health Orders. This includes issuing of written warnings and, as necessary, citations for violations of the Shelter in Place Order and the operation of non-essential businesses.
