How much does flood insurance cost?

City staff cannot provide property owners estimates of how much their required flood insurance premium might be. Flood insurance premiums take into consideration many site-specific factors including, but not limited to, an individual property’s level of flood risk, design and age of a structure, and desired coverage amount. The City recommends property owners contact their insurance agent regarding potential insurance costs. The National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP) is also a good resource. Visit FloodSmart.gov for additional information about what factors may impact flood insurance policy costs.
