Brian has spent the entirety of his career in the Information Technology field, including 15 years working in the private sector performing hands-on hardware and software implementations, managing software development and support teams, and providing technical project management for various companies, including working for a vendor to provide large-scale systems for over 150 newspapers in the international marketplace.  During the early 2000’s, Brian co-founded a company serving the Architecture, Engineering, and Construction industry, deploying software solutions to assist large-scale construction companies with administering complex construction projects around the country.  In 2007, Brian joined the City of Santa Rosa as an I.T. Project Manager to help establish processes and methodologies for enterprise-wide software implementations, and lead the implementation and post go-live support of the City’s ERP (finance/HR/payroll) and other systems that replaced a thirty year-old mainframe.  Brian was promoted to I.T. Section Manager / Application Services Manager in 2011, where he worked with the City’s talented team of Programmer / Analysts and Technology Application Specialists responsible for planning, developing, implementing, project managing, and supporting over one hundred different software applications utilized throughout the City, including both in-house developed as well as 3rd party manufactured software solutions.  In December 2021, Brian was appointed Interim I.T. Director for the City of Santa Rosa and promoted to Chief Information Officer in April 2022, responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations and strategic direction of the Information Technology department. 

Brian has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Management Information Systems from California State University, Chico.
