In the course of a career in social services, Eddie Estrada has been an educator, activist, community organizer, social worker, and the current Chair of the Marin County Organization of Latinx Employees (MCOLE). Eddie has been a resident of Santa Rosa since 2016. Prior to moving to Santa Rosa, Eddie lived in Southern California, the Central Coast, and the Bay Area Peninsula. Throughout these locations, Eddie has worked as a community organizer in Boyle Heights, Los Angeles, a teacher, teaching the CAHSEE to marginalized high school students in Compton, CA, and a social worker working with head start aged children, teens, adults, and most recently older adults in Marin. Eddie has a passion for serving the public and has chosen a career of service.
Eddie is the son of immigrant parents, who worked extremely hard supporting four children. Eddie was the first in his family to graduate from college and graduate school. He attended both U.C. Santa Barbara and California State Univ. Long Beach. Eddie lives in Santa Rosa, with his wife, and 2 rescue dogs.
