Appointed by: Victoria Fleming
Term Expires: December 31, 2022
Beth Eurotas-Steffy, a Santa Rosa resident for over 30 years, has a long history of communityfocused volunteer work. A graduate of Sonoma State University and Leadership Santa Rosa Class 20, she enjoyed a rewarding 28-year career with HP/Agilent focused on world-wide marketing.
While attending a community fair at Hewlett-Packard’s Santa Rosa campus in 1995, she learned of a need for mentors at Elsie Allen High School through a Social Advocates for Youth mentorship program. When she signed up that day, she had no way of knowing how pivotal that experience would be. Beth joined the SAY board the next year and was the marketing chair for five years. In the years to follow she would help further the missions of several non-profit agencies and community events including Tomorrow’s Leaders Today, The Volunteer Center, United Way, Schools of Hope, American Red Cross, Council on Aging, Santa Rosa Rural Cemetery, First Night Santa Rosa and the Amgen Tour of California. Over the last five years Beth has focused her volunteer efforts on ensuring safety for residents in senior residential care facilities, helping local cancer patients and lending a hand to local, state and national political campaigns.
When not working on volunteer projects you can see Beth swimming at Ridgeway Swim Center, playing tennis at Howarth Park and walking the path at Spring Lake. While at home she enjoys working in her garden, taking neighborhood walks and hanging out with her husband Don and their dog Zuma. After COVID restrictions are removed and it is safe to do so, Beth looks forward to once again attending some of her favorite local events — The Rose Parade, Live at Juilliard Concert Series, Sonoma County Fair and the Wednesday Night Market. Council member Victoria Fleming appointed Beth to the Community Advisory Board as a member-at-large in February of 2021.
