About

Brayden Hall, a sophomore, attends Maria Carillo High School, is recognized for strengthening our neighborhoods. Brayden volunteers at least two hours each week at the Santa Rosa Pump Track, located at Northwest Community Park. This popular park amenity provides a looped sequence of rollers and berms for bike riders and is designed to maximize momentum and fun!

To accomplish his volunteer work, Brayden rides his bike from his home to the Pump Track, 20 plus minutes each way, and immediately jumps on tasks to maintain the track, watering, pulling weeds, compacting the soil, and using hand tools to maintain the integrity of the trail structure. Dirt pump tracks require a great deal of care to maintain, and without Brayden's help, Santa Rosa’s pump track wouldn't exist.

Brayden’s enthusiasm as a young man who dedicates his time to an outdoor activity he loves is contagious and exemplifies responsible stewardship of parks. The work he does impacts hundreds of individuals who seek out the benefit and enjoyment of the Pump Track and the beautiful outdoors. Dirt pump tracks require a lot of care to maintain, and without Brayden's help, the pump track wouldn't exist.

When not working to maintain the Pump Track or attending school, Brayden is a member of the Norcal Interscholastic Cycling League and rides with the A-Team, a high school composite mountain biking team with its roots in Annadel State Park. He also spends time building RC crawlers, learning bike mechanics, gardening (in particular, he has an eye for succulents, and volunteering at Garden for the Hungry with his grandmother.
