David is a small business owner, a realtor affiliated with W Real Estate, and a deacon member of the Santa Rosa Chinese Christian Church. He is a Life Member of the Asian American and Pacific Islander Coalition of the North Bay, and a chorus member of the Redwood Empire Chinese Association. David is also the organizer of Skyhawk United, a grass-roots organization of residents in the Skyhawk and Eastlake community in northeast Santa Rosa with 500+ households. 

After receiving his Ph.D. degree in computer engineering, David was in the data networking industry for over 15 years holding various positions from software designer, Director of systems engineering, to Vice President of marketing in a multinational company. He moved to Santa Rosa in 2000 and has been a resident in the Skyhawk community since then. David and his wife have two adult children and one grandchild.
